Venue Accessibility

Fall for Dance North Festival takes place across various venues in Toronto. FFDN is dedicated to working together with our venue partners to ensure a barrier free environment, so our visitors can enjoy the festival experience to the fullest extent. Below is a listing of all festival venues and accessibility information provided at each space.

Requests for accommodations and accessible seating can be made during the ticket purchasing process. 


The Creative School Chrysalis
43 Gerard St. East

The Orchestra level of The Creative School Chrysalis is barrier-free for patrons using wheelchairs or similar assistive devices. There is an accessible washroom located on the main floor, adjacent to the lobby. The Balcony is not wheelchair accessible. The Theatre maintains specific wheelchair accessible seating locations on the left side of the Orchestra level.

 

Betty Oliphant Theatre | Canada's National Ballet School
404 Jarvis Street

The theatre is accessible with a ramp to the main doors and there are several wheelchair suitable seating locations and companion seating locations in the front row. Fleck Dance Theatre | Harbourfront Centre
207 Queens Quay West

Fleck Dance Theatre is an accessible venue with many accessible features. There is wheelchair accessible on the main floor and elevator access to the theatre’s Box Office. The entrance is available from the main floor at the south end of the building. Wheelchair seating can be accommodated with advance booking through our box-office. Infrared hearing devices are available. Audiences can notify one of the Front Of House staff at the time of entry to arrange device pick-up prior to the performance. Wheelchair accessible restrooms with power assisted entry are present. Please note that there are no elevators inside the theatre. The Citadel: Ross Centre for Dance
304 Parliament St, Toronto

Both Studio A and Studio B are accessible by a two-person elevator located at the lobby level. Community members using mobility devices can use the elevator to access these spaces, however, it requires a staff member’s assistance to operate. The Citadel has an accessible washroom located in the lobby at street level. The Citadel: Ross Centre for Dance is located near accessible transit stops at Parliament Street at Dundas Street East. Paradise Theatre
1006 Bloor Street West

Paradise has a wheelchair accessible washroom, wheelchair accessible spaces in the auditorium, and a wheelchair lift from stage to street level, providing full accessibility for performers and speakers. Osteria Rialto and the Paradise Theatre Lobby are both fully wheelchair accessible, however there is no elevator onsite, which unfortunately means there is no wheelchair access to Bar Biltmore or the Paradise Theatre balcony. Union Station
65 Front Street West 

Union Station is an accessible venue with many accessible features. There are barrier free travel paths within the whole building, as well as accessible ramps and elevators. This includes all public transport such as The Go, VIA Rail, UP Train and TTC as well as the building itself. Washrooms are also barrier free and accessible to the public.

Accessible route from TTC: The west side of the TTC concourse level has ramps that lead to the Front Street Promenade (where Pilot Coffee and Danish Pastry are). Continue heading straight and then turn left at the restaurants to head into the GO York Concourse. Take another left and continue to the staircase that leads to the Great Hall. There is an elevator just to the left of that staircase that goes up to the Great Hall at street level. The West Wing is to the left.

Accessible route from GO York Concourse: Follow signs towards the Great Hall. There is a staircase that leads from the GO York Concourse to the Great Hall. Just left of the staircase is an elevator. The West Wing is on the left. Union Station (ttc.ca)
